What makes me different?

My strategic approach

For every creative project, I ask and answer three essential questions:

1. What is the ‘magic’ (i.e., value proposition) that makes your company's product or service different or better?

2. How does your value proposition help your audience? I dig deep to get to know your customers and what you can do for them.

3. What is the ‘big idea’ that connects your value proposition (or key point of difference) and your audience, and how can it be best activated?

I provide the solution to these three questions – compellingly and effectively.

My creative approach

Every piece I develop fulfills a core communication principle I strongly believe in, with the goal of transforming "facts to feelings":

Simplify the complex and make it memorable and actionable.

My story

For more than 25 years I’ve conceptualized, developed and directed successful marketing and creative campaigns for leading international companies in the UK, US and Canada. I’ve held key senior positions for well known agencies and led projects for premium clients like American Express, Marks & Spencer, UBS Private Bank, Volvo, Land Rover, Mandarin Oriental and Reuters, to name a few.

After graduating with an Honours BFA from the School of Visual Arts in New York, I started my career in publishing at the New York Times magazine, before relocating to London England, where I led the design department of Redwood Publishing, a subsidiary of BBC Worldwide. I was then appointed head of the creative department for Redwood Group, which was later acquired by BBDO.

I moved to Toronto as Redwood’s VP Creative Director, where I developed numerous digital and multi-platform communication projects for clients such as Aeroplan, CAA, P&G and Kraft Foods. In 2008, I became an independent brand and creative consultant, directing digital and print campaigns for Fox Mobile, Empire Life and Mackenzie Investments.

In 2015, I was hired as the Director, Creative Services and Digital Marketing for Sentry Investments, a leading Canadian mutual funds company, now part of CI Investments.

In 2017, I turned my focus to running my own consultancy.
